Job Summary
Salary Range: $68,000 to $71,500 Annually
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, abilities and working shift.

This position provides manufacturing inspection development support for machining operations. The individual will strategize, develop, design, and implement inspection methods by utilizing current and future equipment and tools. The individual will work with cross-functional product teams and evaluate and create new or update existing processes and procedures based on Fresenius Kabi manufacturing requirements and guidelines. This position provides project management skills for the broad team and can steer resources and actions to complete projects on schedule. Additionally, this position provides direction for the inspection production team on best methods, streamlined communication and troubleshooting methodology.
Responsibilities
- Supports, guides, and directs daily activities of inspection department in support of machining and inspection operations.
- Collaborates with manufacturing managers, supervisors, and engineers in other disciplines in designing, developing, evaluating, and improving inspection and machining methods by utilizing CMM, Keyence, and other inspection equipment and tools.
- Assist in designing programs, work flows, models, fixtures, tooling, and equipment used by department personnel.
- Participates in projects related to product design, tooling, production equipment/fixtures, methods, quality improvements, and cost savings.
- Analyzes and helps production management plan capacity, define workspace environments, workflow, and design layout for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborates with production managers and supervisors to help estimate production touch times, staff requirements, and related costs necessary for strategic and budgetary decisions.
- Conducts research to develop and introduce improved inspection and machining methods. Analyses processes to ensure quality results are achieved and sustained. Analyzes data to determine return on investment.
- Investigates design factors to identify errors or other deficiencies and recommends change to validate conformities to specifications.
- Conducts training for technical applications of all equipment and tools.
- Works with department personnel to establish or revise work instructions and procedures, as well as training methodology.
- Works with suppliers, quality systems, procurement, and sustaining engineering to ensure quality outcomes in all machining and manufacturing areas.
- Participates in the process of identifying and qualify new inspection equipment, workstations/systems and test fixtures.
- Represents the inspection group in New Product Development projects to ensure manufacturability/serviceability/inspectability is incorporated into a design plan.
- Ensures staff complies with local and corporate policies and regulations of governing bodies.
- Works with the safety coordinator to perform hazard analysis on new equipment and systems to ensure safe working conditions.
- Establishes and executes validation protocols related to inspection processes.

- B.S. in Engineering or related field
- 0-1 year experience in Production Quality or Machining/Manufacturing while performing within Quality System/Manufacturing System guidelines.
- Understanding/Exposure of/to various measuring and inspecting tools, programs and systems.
- Experience providing training to employees, as well as creating work instructions and process requirements.
- Leadership, communication, coaching, and project management skills.
- Possess an understanding of manufacturing and machining principles, plant systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret part and process drawings.
- Excellent problem solving and statistical analysis skills.
