Project Controls (PC) Supervisor
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Project Controls (PC) Supervisor in Virginia Beach, VA who will be a key support to the Finance Department managing a broad range of complex and complicated accounting and financial tasks. Position will supervise a team of PC analysts and serves a critical role on the Finance Department team.
- May be be required to work hours beyond standard schedule to include nights/weekends as needed.
Job Description:
- Review, monitor and analyze project budgets maintained in Costpoint; Prepare New Business Budgets in Costpoint.
- Analyze biweekly revenue calculations.
- Review and monitor project profitability and EAC's.
- Prepare and review:
- Monthly Contract Review
- Monthly Financial Reports
- Annual Operating Plan (Budget)
- Supervise, lead, train, mentor Project Control team of Analysts.
- Provide Internal training on Costpoint including but not limited to; Utilization and Best Practices.
- Develop/Utilize Costpoint to automate Project Control Processes and assist with Costpoint Implementations
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have a BA Degree and at least 4 years of experience OR Associates and at least 8 years OR HS Diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of experience.
- Must have experience with Deltek Cost Point and Government contracting and Costpoint Implementations.
- Must have a strong financial analysis experience accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance principles - understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow dynamics.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Must be able to manage many projects simultaneously and prioritize workload appropriately.
- Must have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company.
- Must have the ability to accumulate, organize and manipulate quantitative data to identify and explain trends, problems, and their causes.
- Must be able to demonstrate initiative and independence of action in performing the responsibilities of the position.
- Must have the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and a changing business environment.
- Must have strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Qualifications:
- Prefer a BA in Accounting/Finance or at least 10 years of professional experience highly preferred.
- Previous experience in lead/supervisor roles preferred
Security Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel-less than 10%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines
- Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height
- Filing in an upright position.
