Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Optical Sales Associate.
In this role, the successful candidate is an individual with retail optical experience who has a passion for sales, fashion, and healthcare.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage and create a personalized experience with each client to promote various optical services.
- Knowledge of various vision plans a plus.
- Ensure cases and displays are properly maintained and stocked.
- Effectively execute product promotions to increase sales and brand awareness for NYU Langone Health Optical.
- Stay up to date on optical trends and services.
- Must be able to take lens measurements and adjust frames for fitting.
- Provide each client with assistance and education on frame types, lenses, and other optical products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate Degree or higher
Be a Licensed Optician
3 years optical sales experience
3 years of vendor and inventory management experience. Must be able to develop, track, and obtain sales goals.
Knowledge of current and emerging optical market.
Knowledge of contact lens fitting.
Knowledge of eyeglass lens finishing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Individual must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be organized and pay attention to detail.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $48,274.10 - $74,267.58 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
