Shift: : 7 am - 3:30pm (Mon-Fri) - 2nd shift opening: 1:45pm - 11:15pm

Duration: 06 + months

Payrate : $24-$34/hr. on W2

Notes: Mazak CNC Machinist with Program Set Up Experience

Job Description:

• Operates various conventional and/or numerically controlled machining centers on semi-complex jobs on CNC machines, like lathes, 3 & 5 axis, mills, etc.
• MAZAK Machines are used at the site, amongst others, and additional equipment is coming--if the person has machining experience on a MAZAK make sure to state this on the resume.
• Heavy experience in machine set up.
• Works from blueprints, sketches, planning sheets, verbal instructions, and/or engineering, tooling, or equipment information.
• Contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Works with limited guidance in a team environment.

Required Skills:

• Machining experience with heavy experience emphasis on Program Set Up. (5 years min machining experience in general, 2 of those years must have been with a MAZAK machine, and at least 1 year must have been independent-unsupervised responsibility to set up MAZAK machine).
• Prior experience with CNC machines such as 3 axis lathes, 5 axis lathes, and mill machines. (5 years minimum required.)
• Reads and follows blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Has working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, may include trigonometry.
• Able to effectively apply lean initiatives. (KAIZEN a bonus)
