The Opportunity: Avantor is looking for a Sustainability Project Engineer to join our team! The Engineer will be responsible for leading and supporting sustainability initiatives, including green building certifications, renewable energy projects, energy efficiency improvements, and environmental impact assessments. This is a full-time role based in Phillipsburg, NJ. What we're looking for
How you will thrive and create an impact The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, excellent project management skills, and a passion for implementing sustainable practices that contribute to environmental stewardship and operational efficiency. Ensuring technology standards and best practices are reviewed and implemented during the design phase of the project. Identifying new industry trends in technologies and leveraging them to ensure Avantor's competitive advantage. Working in support of the Process Technology Engineering group to establish company standards for systems, equipment, and software. Evaluating exiting systems for effectiveness and competitiveness providing recommendations for improvement based on sound business justification. Ensuring compliance with all requirements, laws, and regulations.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions) Typically works in a mix between office environment and manufacturing plant with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Pay Transparency: The expected pre-tax pay for this position is $77,300.00 - $128,700.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
