Designer, Structural Engineering

TKDA
life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k)
Jun 02, 2025
At TKDA, a 100% employee-owned engineering firm, you'll actually own a piece of every structure you help design. We're looking for an experienced Structural Designer who loves variety-from educational facilities to mining structures, government buildings to industrial complexes.
You'll work out of our new Bloomington, Minnesota office, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team of engineers and architects while working primarily in Revit (with some AutoCAD). One day you might be modeling structural systems for a university project, the next you're preparing construction documents for an industrial facility or coordinating clash detection for a government building.
As part of our Facilities Engineering Structural team, you'll be involved in the full project lifecycle-from creating base files to finalizing construction documents, handling redline drafting, and even occasional field verifications. It's hands-on design work with the variety and technical challenges that keep things interesting.
Ready to join a team where your design expertise directly impacts your ownership? Let's build something great together.
Hybrid Work Environment: Tuesday - Thursday In-Office | Monday & Friday WFH

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to apply effective verbal and written communication skills when participating in project team discussions.
