IT Audit Senior Associate - Global Banks Practice

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Employment Type: Temporary

Overview

RSM is seeking an experienced IT Audit Senior Associate to support its Global Banks Practice on a temporary basis. In this role, you will assist in executing IT internal audit engagements for a major global banking client. The ideal candidate brings strong internal audit experience, knowledge of key regulatory frameworks, and the ability to deliver high-quality, regulator-ready audit documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of IT internal audits for global banking operations

  • Conduct detailed testing of IT controls aligned with SOX, FFIEC, COBIT, OCC, and FRB guidance

  • Prepare clear, comprehensive audit workpapers that meet internal and regulatory expectations

  • Identify and communicate control deficiencies and areas for improvement

  • Contribute to issue tracking and validate remediation efforts

  • Work with audit teams and stakeholders to assess IT risks and control effectiveness

  • Present technical findings in a way that is meaningful to business and technology leaders

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in IT Audit, Internal Audit, or Technology Risk

  • Familiarity with the Third Line of Defense audit model

  • Knowledge of U.S. federal banking regulations (e.g., OCC, FRB, FFIEC)

  • Experience producing regulator-ready audit documentation

  • Understanding of IT control frameworks such as COBIT and NIST

  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Background with global banks or consulting/advisory firms is preferred

Preferred Certifications

  • CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CIA, or CPA

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
