Title: Manufacturing & Engineering (M&E) IT Sr Systems Specialist
Location: Houston, TX
Additional locations may include Clayton, MO, Charleston, TN, or any large Olin manufacturing site

Salary: $96,000 - $128,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week

Focus: The Manufacturing & Engineering (M&E) IT Sr Systems Specialist will primarily focus on the Manufacturing & Maintenance application disciplines supporting the global M&E business and IT organizations. This role is responsible for developing and managing small projects executed within the team. Responsibilities include working with the business to identify value-added solutions, define functional requirements, and lead the implementation of applications that support chemical manufacturing and maintenance processes.

M&E IT Sr Systems Specialist Essential Job Functions:
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, customizes, and modifies manufacturing and maintenance applications.
  • Coaches end users in the application use and troubleshoots application-related computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Stays informed on the critical issues to address from application user groups and helps to define the required timing for resolution of critical issues.
  • Supports enhancements to current applications.
  • Provides input for developing and maintaining training documentation for application users.
  • Monitors and addresses issues reported by the end-user community.
  • Provides excellent customer service and feedback on the status of issues.
M&E IT Sr Systems Specialist Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree*; Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Maintenance or Manufacturing-related degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related manufacturing, plant maintenance, and/or reliability systems experience; 15+ years' experience preferred.
  • Chemicals industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance applications such as Inspection Data Management Systems, Plant Maintenance Scheduling, Production Order Management, and/or Batch Management Systems, and their corresponding interfaces.
  • Experience with one or more of the following systems: Mistras Plant Condition Management Systems (PCMS), Primavera P6, and/or Aspen Manufacturing Suite applications such as Aspen InfoPlus.21, Aspen Production Record Manager, AspenONE Process Explorer, etc.
  • Knowledge of the complete data stack starting with the ERP and moving down to the DCS/PLC; SAP preferred.
  • Attention to detail and demonstratable project management skills; Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
