About The Position The Safety Compliance Specialist will contribute, both individually and as part of a team, to the implementation, maintenance and validation of enterprise-wide and regulatory compliance, initiatives and corresponding requirements with a particular focus on safety. Through leading and participating on teams, this position is also responsible for maintaining data-driven business solutions, including safety-related auditing, data collection and reporting. Key responsibilities include
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University required. Five or more years of combined relevant experience in safety, OSHA reporting/regulatory reporting, or compliance operations required. Knowledge of OSHA regulatory safety standards required. Certification in at least one technical EHS area (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) preferred. Experience in auditing safety performance is preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:Proficiency in Office 365 with advanced level expertise in Excel required (e.g. pivot tables, complex formulas, graphing, etc.). Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills is required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills including an extraordinary attention to detail. Knowledge of SQL and visualization tools (Power BI) preferred. Ability to learn the operations of compliance technology systems. A robust understanding of regulatory, legal, and compliance investigations, is required and the following Ameren competencies: Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic. Compensation Range: $86,400.00 - $133,900.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
