Position Overview As CBIZ continues to expand its Technology Cybersecurity practice, we're seeking driven and experienced Cybersecurity Managers to join our growing team. If you're passionate about helping clients strengthen their security posture and reduce risk, this role is for you. At CBIZ, we support clients through a wide range of cybersecurity engagements, including implementation, risk assessments, security reviews, and compliance initiatives-using industry-leading frameworks and tools. Essential Functions and Primary Duties As a Cybersecurity Manager, you will lead client projects and teams in delivering high-impact cybersecurity services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing cybersecurity projects across multiple clients and industries, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Leading efforts in infrastructure, cloud, and security tool analysis, architecture reviews, and risk management.
- Conducting security assessments and compliance reviews using frameworks such as NIST, CSC, and others.
- Designing secure architectures and reviewing systems such as SCADA/ICS and other OT environments.
- Researching and staying current on emerging technologies, security requirements, threats, and best practices.
- Communicating findings and recommendations clearly to clients-both in writing and in presentations.
- Overseeing and delivering client education and security awareness programs.
- Assisting in the evaluation and implementation of encryption and key management solutions.
- Managing conflict and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Guiding and mentoring team members through training, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Supporting the firm through involvement in recruiting, training, internal projects, and human resources initiatives.
- Managing administrative tasks such as time tracking, expense reporting, and invoice preparation.
- Travel estimated at 25-30%.
Preferred Qualifications Experience & Education:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
- At least 1-2 years in project or client management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Business).
- Relevant certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, GIAC, CRISC, CIA, LPT, CSSLP).
- Knowledge or certification in CMMC (e.g., CCP) is a plus.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity architectures, infrastructure, cloud security, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with the secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps principles.
- Experience with identity and access management systems (IAM), cryptographic systems, and key management.
- Understanding of standards and technologies such as PKI, SAML, OAuth, TLS/HTTPS, SSH, DLP, SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience working with compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, SOX, etc.).
- Experience auditing/administering systems like Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Oracle, MS SQL, and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
- Coding experience is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Confidence in engaging with senior client stakeholders and external auditors.
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to integrity and excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools-Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
- 3 years supervisory experience
- Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
- Proficient use of applicable technology
