General Information:

The School of Nursing at James Madison University is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to serve as the BSN Operations Coordinator. This position supports the comprehensive academic and administrative functions of the pre-nursing, traditional BSN, and non-traditional BSN pathways within the School of Nursing. This role facilitates program operations, manages and maintains confidential student records, ensures compliance with regulatory documentation and delivers responsive student support. The BSN Operations Coordinator promotes effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:
* Facilitate operations coordination for traditional BSN and non-traditional BSN pathways.
* Provide operational support for student registration and orientation processes, including coordination of virtual orientation events and dissemination of program requirements.
* Coordinate clinical placement onboarding and orientation for all undergraduate BSN pathways, ensuring timely communication with students and partner agencies.
* Develop orientation schedules in collaboration with pathway coordinators, clinical agency partners and disseminates required information and timelines to students.
* Maintain accurate and confidential student health and compliance records using platforms such as Typhon, TrueScreen, and MyRecordTracker, and ensure documentation is provided to clinical agencies in accordance with their policies.
* Maintain proficiency in external platforms used by agency partners (e.g., ACEMAPP, CastleBranch), and ensure seamless coordination across systems.
* Ensure compliance with institutional and agency policies, contributing to regulatory and accreditation readiness.
* Participate in virtual and in-person clinical agency meetings to negotiate placements, resolve concerns, and maintain strong institutional relationships.
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of student onboarding materials, enabling full participation in clinical experiences.
* Facilitate a smooth orientation and placement process for students and provides responsive support to students, addressing concerns, and clarifying requirements.
* Serve as a liaison between the School of Nursing, clinical agencies, and students to support high-quality clinical education experiences.
* Contribute to School of Nursing events and initiatives by providing administrative and logistical support as needed.
* Provide courteous and professional service to visitors, students, and agency partners, reflecting the School of Nursing's values and commitment to excellence.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Demonstrated proficiency in managing and coordinating office processes and fluency with Microsoft Office Products.
* Must be self-directed and able to complete multiple projects with limited supervision.
* Exceptional organization skills, and ability to be flexible.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
* Detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Professional demeanor, confidentiality and customer service skills are essential.
