Summary:

Goldbelt C6, LLC is seeking a Data Analyst IV to provide data science-related work, database development, data analysis, and development of documentation, summary reports, and publications to enhance consumer health by ensuring the safety of substances added to food and food contact materials. This project will focus on advancing the understanding of foods and ingredients in the US food supply and establishing a monitoring plan to look at foods over time.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare, clean, and manipulate large datasets for use in analyses and food and ingredient monitoring efforts.
  • Support data collection efforts and development of sampling plans.
  • Develop coding and queries to support extensive data testing and development of user interface dashboards for monitoring platform.
  • Apply critical thinking and quantitative skills to conduct quantitative analyses on food and ingredient-related public and private datasets.
  • Research topics and prepare documentation, summary reports, memoranda, abstracts, or publications.
  • Further develop technical skills and regulatory knowledge related to tasks 1-5.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience manipulating large data sets related to food and ingredient monitoring.
  • Knowledge and experience with the development of sampling plans.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting data collection.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing coding and queries supporting considerable data testing and developing user interface dashboards for monitoring platforms relating to foods and ingredients.
  • Knowledge and experience in applications of critical thinking and quantitative skills to conduct quantitative analyses on food and ingredient-related public and private datasets.
  • Knowledge and experience in researching topics and preparing documentation, summary reports, memoranda, abstracts, or publications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree to Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, or related field.
  • 3 - 8 years of experience working with large and complex datasets about foods and food ingredients.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000 per year.
