Job description Currently seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our expanding business. Industry knowledge with 5-10 years' experience in controls applications, hardware selection, industrial control panel design, industrial controls, and streamlining procedures and processes within the industrial automation solutions industry. Project Engineers will have in-depth experience working with OEM partners in wide range of industrial automation industries and applications. Responsibilities: Work closely with customers to design custom control solutions for industrial machinery and process equipment. Lead execution of assigned projects Communicate with customers on project status Work independently and in project groups Develop circuit diagrams using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical Select hardware and create BOM (bill of materials) Modify or write PLC programs specific to the application Develop HMI screens in conjunction with PLC programs Factory system test prior to shipment Travel to site for inspection and system commissioning Develop and improve upon engineering standards Work independently and in project groups Qualifications: Able to program Rockwell and Siemens PLC's, Operator Interfaces, and SCADA systems Proficient with, Variable Frequency Drive Systems and/or motor control applications Proficient with AutoCAD or AutoCAD electrical (Optional) Familiar with machine control design Written and oral communication skills Education BSEE, BSME, or equivalent engineering degree |
