What you'll do

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an onsite Production Control Expeditor, Temporary to join our dynamic team in Duluth, GA!

We are seeking an individual with strong coordination skills to manage work and material flow in our manufacturing department and engineering labs. The primary responsibilities include collaborating with production planners to create factory schedules, prioritize tasks, oversee materials requiring external processing, and communicate progress with department supervisors. Additionally, the role involves reporting on work in process, rework/repair orders, and addressing production issues. Some planning support for production planners may also be necessary.


The day-to-day

  • Process stock transfer requests and ensure timely delivery of materials to the requestor.
  • Conduct thorough audits to verify their contents before delivering kits to the laboratories .
  • Create and manage ship requests for materials requiring outside processing and for customer deliverables.
  • Provide regular status updates to the planning department regarding any material shortages on the production floor.
  • Perform monthly chemical inventory control and manage life-limited materials according to established procedures.

What you'll need

  • A high school diploma or GED is required, in addition to at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of materials management and handling procedures.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word, is essential.
  • The ability to interact effectively with internal customers from various departments is necessary.
  • Must be personally accountable for their responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
  • The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking is required.
  • United States Citizenship is required.

What will help you on the job

  • The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in production control and planning.
  • Experience handling high-tech electronic products and materials sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD) is required.
  • A solid understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), planning principles, and related reporting tools is essential.
  • Candidates should have an Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Supply Chain, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is necessary.

Salary range

$22.36 - $35.1 / hourly.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $27.64 - $41.59/ hourly
