BWH Primary Care Physician- at Massachusetts Mental Health Center
Brigham and Women's Primary Care seeks a BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained Physician to join our innovative, patient-centered adult practice at the Boston Brigham and Women's Hospital campus. The BWH Primary Care at Massachusetts Mental Health Center practice is looking for a part-time Primary Care Physician to join a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to serving adults and young adults with chronic and severe mental illness, partnering with a seasoned Nurse Practitioner as part of a two-physician team. In this embedded role, you will work closely with in-house psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and case managers to provide integrated, patient-centered care. The practice is deeply connected to the mental health services within the building and external social service supports. This role offers the opportunity to provide low-volume, high-complexity care within a flexible schedule, just two four-hour sessions per week. You will manage a small panel of patients with complex social and medical needs, including individuals in group homes and supported housing. Working closely with nurse managers and visiting RNs, you'll deliver hands-on care in a highly collaborative setting. This position is particularly well-suited for candidates interested in behavioral health integration, addiction medicine, or systems-based primary care. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the chance to help shape a thoughtful, team-based approach to care and energized by the impact of building strong, coordinated support systems for underserved patients. As a Brigham and Women's Primary Care Physician, you can benefit from: *Support from a centralized team handling prescription refill requests and prior authorizations. *Collaboration with a care team that includes nurses, population health coordinators, clinical social workers, community health workers, and resource specialists. *A fully integrated EPIC EMR and access to the expansive Mass General Brigham (MGB) network. *Excellent opportunities for outcomes research, professional growth, academic initiatives, and networking. *Access to robust professional development and onboarding programs. *An ambient scribe system is used to facilitate note writing and completion. *Dedicated after-hours APP call team with infrequent MD backup on call.
