Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our Business Transformation team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a deep understanding of project management methodologies and a proven ability to assess, refine, and enhance client-facing project delivery practices. In addition to supporting external project excellence, this position will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and change management through internal initiatives originating from the Business Transformation Department.
Primary Functions
- Client-Facing Project Management Optimization
- Evaluate current client-facing project management processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to implement best practices and scalable methodologies.
- Serve as an operational advisor on project governance, delivery frameworks, methodologies and PM training.
- PMO & Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to the evolution of the PMO by developing tools, templates, and governance standards.
- Conduct post-project reviews and apply lessons learned to future initiatives.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across the organization.
- Create and deliver project management training.
- Internal Business Transformation Initiatives
- Lead and support internal transformation projects aligned with department and firm goals.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful execution and adoption of change initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Deliver clear, concise project status reports and strategic insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, fostering alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Desired Education/Licensure
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. PMP or related certification a plus.
Desired Skills/Experience
- 5+ years of project management experience coordinating complex projects across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams. Familiarity with the AEC industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in evaluating and improving project delivery processes.
- Experience working within a PMO-led environment.
- Deep knowledge of project management and change management frameworks.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and reporting platforms.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Ability to travel (10% expected) to regional offices to engage with staff across the firm.
