Job Overview

Seeking an energetic, creative and detail-oriented Sales Engineer to support our sales & marketing effort to provide our Data Center customers with a high-amperage power solution. Participate in presentations, technical sales, trade shows, and customer meetings.

A Day In The Life

Provide customers with pre and post-sales technical support including design assistance, answering technical questions, preparing solutions, quotes, and proposals

Proactive liaise, consult and engage with key customers and ensure a client experience above and beyond industry standards

Work closely with the Sales team and key customers to ensure that every given opportunity, the associated products are proposed as the preferred alternative to any other specified power products.

Selectively utilize all available information resources to identify opportunities to write Hubbell into specifications during all stages of design.

Conduct product meetings and presentations within the relevant target markets, develop and maintain a rapport with new and existing clients, and subsequently follow through to the point of order.

Client satisfaction, ensuring issues are resolved to achieve repeat business and ensure long-term client relationships.

Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales leadership.

Work closely with the Product Managers, Engineering and Marketing to achieve key strategic market vertical penetration objectives.

Build and maintain pipeline/quote activity/forecast (Salesforce) to support territory technology strategy and growth needed.

Participate in trade shows, industry events and customer meetings.

Carry out training and support for the DC sales team.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Deep understanding data center and power topology

Five (+) years of related data center technical sales experience.

Bachelor's Degree, Engineering or Technical background preferred.

Excellent oral and written communications skills

Ability to effectively interact with the full customer spectrum.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

Ability to travel domestically up to 60%
