Cape Fox Mountain Point is seeking aSite Safety (SSHO) Manager than can support the project as Quality Control (QC) Manager. The SSHO/QC Manager position will develop and implement the quality/safety program, QC/Safety plans, enforcing policies, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with legal guidelines for the Mountain Point construction company. Work will be performed primarily in the Savannah, GA area and within the Southern United States (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida). General construction work will include: facility operations and maintenance, building renovations and repair; new construction; pre-construction services, IT and physical security upgrades; electrical, plumbing and HVAC; and demolition. Civil and utility work will focus on specific electrical and underground water infrastructure (e.g., potable water, storm, sewer) and all associated earth moving services. The SSHO/QC Manager is responsible for management of the site specific Accident Prevention Plan and supporting the QC program. The SSHO/QC Manager supports internal department development of the corporate safety program for standard operating procedures (SOPs), deliverables, subcontractors, and employees to embed the quality focus within the company. The employee will help improve and/or develop internal safety and quality policies. The SSHO/QC Manager will oversee the subcontractor safety personnel and quality specialists in support of the Safety Manager, project managers, site superintendents, operators, and their construction projects. The SSHO/QC Manager provides leadership and guidance for the department, works to improve core processes, and manages projects. The employee will maintain company quality/safety records and training records for internal compliance. Work Environment Primary work will be supporting operations and maintenance and construction efforts on U.S. Government contracts at military installations. SSHO/QC Managers typically work full-time in a variety of settings, including offices, facilities or construction sites. The work typically involves considerable travel and fieldwork, and the employee can be exposed to dangerous or stressful situations. The employee will work on a team with other project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all aspects of a project's design and construction are completed correctly. Employee must be able to work with minimal supervision, be flexible, cooperative and take initiative; work well under pressure, plan, be resourceful, and well organized; maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and be polite and professional with the general public; maintain a professional approach towards work and a positive attitude and philosophy consistent with Company standards. |
