Data Analyst - Recipient Rights

Under the general supervision of the Director of Recipient Rights, the Data Analyst Recipient Rights staff will work for Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) Recipient Rights department advocating recipients and recipient services. The staff will also be required to conduct research, develop graphs, and offer technical support to the team, Director and Recipient Rights Advocacy Committee regarding data from our IT reporting systems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather and interpret data to determine trends and deficiencies
  • Prepares excel spreadsheet for a comparison review of statical data
  • Maintain a database system to review and document trends
  • Will prepare the Semi, Annual Data Report and Triennale assessment Report
  • Research's new methods to improve reporting data
  • Prepares power points and excel sheets to present to the full Board, RRAC, and external meetings
  • Write comprehensive written reports when requested
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with providers of service for the enhancement of the rights protection system.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain the CEU Training Grid for staff
  • Must complete and pass the Basic Skills 1 & 2 Training sessions
  • Works with all departments within the Recipient Rights Department
  • Experienced presenting data reports

  • Knowledge of Federal policies, rules, regulations and procedures as it relates to DWIHN.

  • Knowledge of the Federal Confidentiality Regulations, 42 CFR, Part 2
  • Knowledge of Federal regulations regarding recipient rights.
  • Knowledge of MDHSS regulations regarding recipient rights.
  • Knowledge of DWIHN policies and procedures regarding recipient rights.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in a analytics or related field in human service, Social Service, Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Health Management, Business Administration, Conflict Resolution, Criminal Justice or a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) years of full-time paid work experience utilizing a computer to gather, maintain and analyze data.

REQUIRED LICENSE(S).

A valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record.

NOTE: Employees are required to have an operable vehicle available during work hours.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is usually performed in an office setting but requires the employee to drive to different sites throughout Wayne County and the State of Michigan.
