FIRST SHIFT

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:




  • Receives, stores, and issues tools and equipment to workers, and maintains a record of tools and equipment issued and returned, either manually or by a computer.


  • Locates lost or misplaced tools or equipment.


  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.


  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.


  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or by using a microcomputer and reports damage or wear to supervisors.


  • Marks and identifies tools and equipment using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.


  • Prepares & issues purchase order in MRO buyers absence.


  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.


JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or the equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Computer literate, Microsoft, Pansopic, AS400

MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employee is required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor, exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and exert up to 25 pounds of force frequently. Visual requirements include ability to read tags, labels, computer screen, and documents.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Employee is subject to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. Breathing fumes, dust, and mist, and skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid.

6 years: Previous tool crib experience (preferred)
