Job Description

The Tour Center Assistant Manager is responsible for managing and providing leadership to the Tour Center Coordinators, Brewery Ambassadors, as well as the Senior Brewery Ambassadors. They are a model for the Tour Center teams by executing daily operations in an efficient and effective manner, providing the highest level of customer service to internal and external guests, conducting VIP brewery tours, and maintaining the appearance of the Brewery and Tour Center. The Tour Center Assistant Manager will work with the General Manager to drive company culture through the development and execution of strategies that raise the bar for our drinkers, increase traffic and sales, and promote craft credibility.

What You'll Brew:



  • Manager for Tour Center Coordinator, Brewery Ambassador, and Senior Brewery Ambassador Teams including hiring, scheduling, payroll operations, career development, on-boarding, delegating assignments, creating and driving sales goals and incentives, and regular communications across the team
  • Leads overall TC training program of new tour guides and manages BA Development program
  • Responsible for creating seasonal programs and paid experiences designed to drive local and tourist traffic to the Boston Brewery
  • Oversee Tour Center Events and Rentals Program with the SABB Marketing Specialist. Create programs in alignment with the Tap Room, Shop, and overall brand strategy and assign to the TCC team as needed
  • Serves as a floor manager to the Brewery Ambassador team during day to day operations when needed
  • Responsible for conducting VIP tours as requested as well as overall TC calendar management for day to day operations
  • Primary manager for Brewery Tour Center and Shop on all Saturdays
  • Oversees audit program for Brewery Ambassador tours and work with TCC team in conducting feedback meetings
  • Supports General Manger in updating Tour Center manual and SOP's
  • Lead contact for internal customers as needed: National On-Premise team, Brand, Communications, Training, Sales and other departments for meetings, events, and a variety of other activities at the brewery
  • Member of BBCO Safety & Sustainability committee. Responsible for enforcing safety protocols on a daily basis
  • Conduct weekly, shift/event meetings with the Tour Center Coordinator/Brewery Ambassador team
  • Responsible for maintaining high level of customer service in the Front Of House
  • Responsible for day to day operations of the shop including but not limited to: customer service, BA training, driving sales, promotions, stocking, growler operations, and inventory management. Support monthly physical inventory process through quarterly counts, proper sign-outs, and creating gift shop displays
  • Responsible for the maintenance of tasting rooms, Tour Center, and brewery
  • Work with Tour Center Managers on strategies and programming to increase craft credibility


What Ingredients You'll Bring:



  • 4yr Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ year experience in customer service
  • 1+ year experience leadership or management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in an organized, detail-oriented manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment and under time constraints and deadlines
  • Prior experience in public speaking


Level: 6

In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe salary range for this role if hired is $60,600 - $111,900 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
