Job Description Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) is currently seeking a Functional Assessment Assessor. JCDS serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We focus on individuals' abilities, provide choice driven supports, and advocate alongside people to live and work in our community. We aspire to build a community that promotes, supports, and embraces people of all abilities. The initial review of applications is expected to begin May 27, 2025.
Maintains monthly assessment caseload and ensures that caseloads are evenly distributed among Assessment Team; works with Data Quality Coordinator to determine scheduling of assessments to ensure compliance with State guidelines; compiles and confirms information from consumer files for Functional Assessments; reviews CDDO records and verifies personal information, prescribed medications, and identified disabilities (existing and new); ensures functional assessment standards, regulations and processes are being followed.
Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required and two (2) years of experience in IDD or related field. KS/MO driver's license with good driving record required. Must pass the state functional assessment training and obtain completion certificate within 60 days of employment and annually thereafter Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. Education/Experience Substitutions: Experience may be substituted for degree. Education may be substituted for experience. In some instances, statutory or regulatory requirements may prohibit substitution of education and/or experience. Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions: All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation. |
