Levy Sector Catering Attendant - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position. Schedule: Part time event-based schedule. Open availability preferred. Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Must be able to work all Hawks home games. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 1 year or more experience in foodservice or hospitality. An outgoing personalitiy is preferred. The candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively and the ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance. Qualifications Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations. Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods of time throughout the day. Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds Job Summary Summary: The Catering Attendant is responsible for directing and responding to guest questions and needs. The server should understand the content of the menu and ensure the timely delivery of food. Strict following of food and safety guidelines are required. The server is responsible for executing area setup and breakdown. This position executes the culinary event from start to finish. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures all food and beverage is properly displayed and maintained throughout the event. Knowledgeable on all menu offerings. Responsible for the set up and breakdown of the even that is taking place at State Farm Arena. Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences. As needed, demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens. Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated. Exhibits exceptional communications skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others. Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff. Collects tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures. Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests. Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared. Promptly addresses complaints or issues; relays relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor. Ensures that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keeps area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards. Operates a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines. Works with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Apply to Levy today!
