Job Description

The department of Anesthesiology in the School of Medicine is looking for a Research Specialist II.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

*Collection, processing, and daily management details of clinical trials in the Department of Anesthesiology. A person in this position will assist with screening patients for eligibility to selected protocols, consenting of patients, maintain research protocol info, and follow regulatory documentation, IRB requirements, and clinical practice.
*Responsible for extracting data from source documents and entering information into case report forms in a timely fashion according to standard procedures and expectations. Responsible for resolving data queries as requested by investigators, sponsor reps, and other interested parties
*Organize and maintain subject recruitment files and documentation for each enrolled patient. Coordinate the entry and maintenance of research data into appropriate data base or reporting forms. Check and maintain data accuracy and integrity.
*Responsible for coordinating the collection and processing of necessary specimens, lab reports, imaging reports, surgical report, or outcome summary according to study protocol and sponsor requirements.
*Coordinate, schedule, prepare, and assist with all monitoring and auditing activities with internal and external (sponsor) reviewers.
*Assist in the startup and close-out of clinical trials. This may include preparing necessary reports for investigators and sponsors, working with Investigational Pharmacy, and assisting others with settling any outstanding activities, or reporting associated with project.
*Assist with the development of protocols, study budgets, study databases, instructional materials for medical students involved with research.
*Perform additional duties assigned by supervisor and/or primary investigators.

Shift

8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday, with occasional other hours, including evenings, overnights or weekends, as required by study protocols.

Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: No

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

2 to 3 years of relevant clinical trial experience, investigative study or project management experience. CCRP/CCRA certification is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range:$18.87 - $24.00
