The Production Assembler performs a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations as well as the operations of various hand tools and machines, under minimal guidance and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in related field Experience: 0-3 years Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
TYPICAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to operate equipment and talk or hear. Additionally, the ability to use foot pedals for powered equipment. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk along with pushing, pulling, and lifting items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant visual acuity with the ability to see color if welding stainless. Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
