JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support Senior Engineer by completing design tasks.
* Potential for additional responsibility depending on experience and demonstrated success in the role.
* Concept design and part modeling using Creo.
* Stress & life analysis
* Assessing risk of part nonconformances
* Reviewing PPAP information
* Participating in CPPD discussions with suppliers
* Works closely with Senior Axle Housing Desing Engineer
* Interacts with suppliers, supplier development engineers, and internal process partners (Quality, Operations, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* BS in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
* Proficient in Creo
* Understands basic geometric tolerancing
* Strong initiative
* Effective verbal & written communicator
* Can manage individual tasks to meet deadlines
* Open to input & feedback from others
* Works well with other engineers, suppliers, and internal process partners
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proficient in Creo Simulate FEA
* Experience in steel or iron casting design
* Practical / hands-on experience
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Eagerness to learn new things
