Network Engineer
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Network Engineer in Tacoma, Washington.
Job Description:
- Plans, designs, and implements network managements systems to monitor, diagnose, control, and measure performance of multiple communication networks
- Identifies, analyzes, and recommends new network administrative systems for entire networks to ensure accurate network inventory and timely implementation
Qualifications:
- Must be able to design network architecture based on the results of a survey and the requirements.
- Must be able to install the designed network in a deployed environment.
- Must have operational experience maintaining network infrastructure.
- Must have knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching, and network architecture planning. Ability to configure and manage Cisco ASA appliances.
- Must be capable of preparing and presenting briefings.
Desired Qualifications:
- Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards is preferred.
- DoD IAT Level II or greater is preferred.
- Experience with DoD IT security requirements is preferred.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, MCSE are preferred.
Education Requirements:
- BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 5 years of experience.
Security Requirements:
- Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to maintain.
Travel Requirements:
- Effort will take place in several locations. Virginia, Arizona, Washington, Kuwait. Candidate must be able to travel OCONUS.
Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
