Job Overview
The Corrosion Control Technician will provide and coordinate a consistent Corrosion Prevention and Control policy. Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Develops, documents, and maintains the Corrosion Prevention and Control Plan.
- Coordinates and documents material selection guidelines for corrosion protection/avoidance.
- Coordinates the documentation of corrosion design guidelines.
- Coordinates Corrosion Prevention policies and procedures with policies and practices.
- Reviews corrosion test results for process/finish material qualifications.
- Establishes corrosion test requirements for procured items.
- Establishes and maintains team-common process/finish requirements.
- Resolves any impasse in determining the preferred process/treatment method for corrosion control at site.
- Maintains a log of problems, action items, corrective actions, and status.
- Coordinates and interfaces with government program office.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Must have and maintain a Senior Corrosion Technologist certification from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
