The Corrosion Control Technician will provide and coordinate a consistent Corrosion Prevention and Control policy.

Work Model: Onsite

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Develops, documents, and maintains the Corrosion Prevention and Control Plan.
• Coordinates and documents material selection guidelines for corrosion protection/avoidance.
• Coordinates the documentation of corrosion design guidelines.
• Coordinates Corrosion Prevention policies and procedures with policies and practices.
• Reviews corrosion test results for process/finish material qualifications.
• Establishes corrosion test requirements for procured items.
• Establishes and maintains team-common process/finish requirements.
• Resolves any impasse in determining the preferred process/treatment method for corrosion control at site.
• Maintains a log of problems, action items, corrective actions, and status.
• Coordinates and interfaces with government program office.
• Other duties as assigned.

Mandatory:

• Must have and maintain a Senior Corrosion Technologist certification from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
• Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
• Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
• Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
• Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
