Position Title: Buyer/Planner
Wage: Based on Experience Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has a great opportunity available for a Buyer/Planner at a company in Racine, WI. This is a direct hire position. Apply now! Buyer/Planner Responsibilities: - Analyze sales trends, inventory levels and production schedules to create purchase orders and work orders - Support timely and accurate delivery of products or services to end customers - Utilize company ERP system for inventory management and schedule optimization - Support production, engineering, quality and material teams - Manage inventory pipelines from NPI to manufacturing - Purchase raw materials, components and services to meet the production and customer requirements - Maintain inventory levels within a specific budget - Maintain relationships with vendors - Review ROP's or Kanban quantities and adjust accordingly based on business needs - Implement/Support a KANBAN/PULL system for parts replenishment to the production line including the automatic back flushing of mandatory parts - Plan and coordinate all material requirements of assign commodities and supplier availability utilizing the MRP system and KANBAN systems - Expedite any urgent purchase requisitions when mission essential items are need immediately - Identify critical long-lead items, provide input on BOM construction and support project cost-management initiatives - Support ISO process to help maintain integrity of system - Stay current with changing technologies Qualifications for Buyer/Planner: - 5+ years in Lean Manufacturing environment - 3+ years of buying/planning experience - Kanban knowledge/implementation experience - BOM and Router Entry experience - Training in Lean Manufacturing and Transformation - MRP working knowledge - Vertical Integration experience - Injection molding experience helpful - Proficient in computer software applications relevant to the position - Good communication and reading comprehension skills | |
