Engineering Lead (Luminest)

The Day to Day:

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers within the team.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Provide technical ownership for features designed and developed by the team and drive their implementation and delivery.
• Anchor major team workstreams to build, improve, and grow the scale of our platform, reduce complexity, increase automation, and burn down technical debt.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on infrastructure or service operations and quality.
• Communicate technical details to stakeholders across the board, including executional team, advisory groups, end users, and vendor partners.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience leading an agile product development team in a lean environment.
• Deep experience working with the full stack in the following languages and frameworks: Ruby, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, and/or React.
• Experience working with containers, orchestration tools, AWS, and asynchronous services within AWS.
• Rigor in automated testing, code quality, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools
• Experience working with GraphQL
• Test-driven development (TDD).
• Experience with asynchronous programming patterns.
• Experience with relational databases and schema design.
• Strong background in full-stack B2B SaaS application architecture.
