Overview How you can make a difference As our Distinguished Engineer, you will be the technical cornerstone of HealthEquity's fraud and security product portfolio. You will conceptualize and lead hands-on development of core services and other novel, large-scale software solutions-using type-safe languages (Go, Rust), embed cryptographic primitives and secure programming -to detect, prevent, and respond to evolving cyber and fraud threats. You will operationalize prototypes into resilient, cloud-native services (Kubernetes, container orchestration, service mesh), mentor engineering teams, and set the bar for secure, performant code at scale. Your contributions will directly reduce fraud losses, raise the bar on reliability and performance, and mentor engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions at scale. What you'll be doing
Technical Vision & Innovation:Define end-to-end architecture for next-gen fraud detection, threat-intel processing, secure payment workflows, and encryption services. Prototype and validate emerging technologies (confidential computing, secure enclaves, zero trust frameworks), then operationalize proven approaches.
