A Team Lead of Government Banking is responsible for managing, coaching and leading Government Banking Officers focused on the acquisition and retention of Government, Higher Education and Non-profit (GHN) relationships along with business development in this segment across the Bank's footprint. WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Under the direction of the Director of Government Banking, lead the expansion of the GHN segment into designated markets. 2. Provide leadership and direction to a team of Government Banking Officers and Administrators to ensure success of the team's goals and objectives. 3. Drive a fully accountable, high performing professional and diplomatic sales culture allocating resources and assignments to maximize market opportunity. 4. In the GHN sector; originate and/or supervise the origination of new GHN relationships with a constant focus on deposit balance growth, treasury product implementation, and the management the cost of funds (COF). 5. Develops and maintains strong relationships with the retail and community banking network to achieve market penetration. 6. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of competitor products and services to support awareness to the team. 7. Represents the Bank at appropriate community activities. 8. Participates in joint calls with internal business partners to build and develop customer relationships with the ability to cross-sell bank products and services. 9. Manages and oversees the GHN Sales Team's pipeline and referrals for Internal partners. 10. Participate in the development and execution of the Government Banking Calling Plan. The plan shall clearly outline consistent activities, tactics and strategies leading to annual sales goal attainment, in coordination with, and in support of the strategy outlined by Director of Government Banking. 11. Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines. 12. Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trusted advisor to recommend and promote Treasury Management solutions to internal and external clients while working within the risk parameters of the Bank. 13. Develop annual review process for clients and create account plans. Deploy the process for the GHN Sales Team. 14. Provide timely reporting of sales activity and prospective sales opportunities in the SalesForce reporting system to Treasury Management Leadership. 15. Works closely with internal partners for GHN account opening, onboarding and implementation. Partners with Treasury colleagues to oversee transition of requests. 16. Actively engages in mentorship and development of GHN administrator staff. Requirements
