Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

Pay Range: $62,661 - $84,465
Job Summary:

The Functional Specialist is the solution expert of one or more functional area/module in Hydra MES. This position will act as the liaison with operational businesses to conduct research, analyze needs, develop plans, and produce technical reports while maintaining a deep understanding of the business. Travel to manufacturing plants will be required on a project-by-project basis, with project scopes varying annually. This position reports to the Manager, MES Implementations.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Business or a related field, r an equivalent combination of education and five (5) years of experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years working with MES/ERP systems or related platforms.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with MES systems including data migration and integration activities.
  • Specific knowledge of shop floor manufacturing processes, quality systems, and system integrations.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the system integration process.
  • Expertise in data migration practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of any MES/ERP system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze complex information, draw conclusions, and present findings to senior management.
  • Commitment to respecting diversity and collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to support multiple concurrent projects and Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a functional liaison between departmental stakeholders, staff, and/or vendors.
  • Supports multiple projects and BAU activities simultaneously.
  • Research and analyze business needs, develop plans, and provide technical support.
  • Create detailed functional design documentation.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios and scripts to validate solutions.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to ensure global template consistency across locations.
  • Liaise with live businesses to propose and implement solutions with the assigned functional area/module.
  • Travel up to 50% may be required.
