Construction Quality Management (CQM) Representative *This QA position requires construction experience, preferably in healthcare and medical facility construction and renovation. Previous experience working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is a huge plus. IT applicants will not be considered. About the Position: GoldenWolf is searching for an organized, driven self-starter to fill an immediate Quality Assurance role for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This position will be responsible for the surveillance of construction projects and reporting data to the USACE Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). In essence, the CQM acts as a pivotal liaison between contractors, the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and the Facility Manager, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet technical, contractual, and quality standards while effectively managing changes and maintaining clear project documentation. This part-time position requires 20 hours of work per week. Essential Functions: The Construction Quality Management (CQM) Representative ensures that construction projects adhere to contract requirements and quality standards. The role involves:
Assessing contractor submittals, schedules, RFIs/RFCs, and technical drawings. Commenting on and recommending actions regarding design compliance, constructability, and material availability.
Identifying deficiencies or performance issues and suggesting corrective actions. Evaluating project issues, equitable adjustments, and claims; computing time extensions Preparing related documentation for change orders and modifications.
Maintaining comprehensive records, including financials, drawings, meeting minutes, and correspondence. Using reporting systems (e.g., the USACE Resident Management System) to document daily progress and site observations. Maintaining progress photos.
Conducting on-site surveillance, inspecting contractor quality control, and monitoring testing activities. Attending and reporting on weekly progress meetings with architects, engineers, and contractors. Coordinating interactions with various project stakeholders.
Assisting in punch list preparations and verifying the accuracy of final "as-built" drawings. Collecting warranty documents/operational manuals to facilitate ongoing maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems. Project Timeline: Base contract with three option years and one option for a six-month extension. The base contract is scheduled to start on 1 May 2025 and end on 30 April 2026. Benefits Offered:
