Equipment Operator (3rd Shift)

• Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, including:
  • Trucks and tandem vehicles
  • Large rubber-tired end loaders
  • Street sweepers
  • Snow blowers for front-end loaders
  • Dickey-John salt spreading systems
  • Refuse and recycling packers
• Assist with snow removal operations, including applying salt and sand.
• Perform routine manual labor related to equipment operation, construction, maintenance, and service activities.
• Maintain accurate work records and compile related reports.
• Work in various weather conditions, including temperature extremes, odors, noise, and dust.

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
• Comfort using technology and willingness to learn new equipment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Availability for Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of recent experience operating front-end loaders.
• Ability to learn and operate specialized municipal equipment (street sweepers, snow removal equipment).
• Valid Wisconsin CDL (Class B or C with air brakes).
• Ability to obtain a Tanker (N) endorsement within 12 months of hire.
• Good driving record per City policy.
