Salary range - $30.00 to $35.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Warehouse Specialist - UAS Lab is responsible for maintaining and tracking equipment used to conduct and analyze Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations at the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC). This individual will oversee the upkeep of various equipment, including aircraft, sensors, computers, software, batteries, and safety gear, while ensuring proper property control, maintenance, safety, and storage protocols are observed.

This is an unclassified TO on a classified contract.

Part Time Position-Perfect for College Student, Retiree or person looking for extra income.

Period of performance shall be 8 months 15 May 2025 - 15 Jan 2025

Responsibilities:



  • Maintain physical space of UAS equipment and sensors
  • Ensure vigilant property control and proper lithium battery maintenance
  • Collaborate with program staff and managers to meet current and future equipment needs
  • Implement physical security measures for equipment daily
  • Design and maintain the layout of the UAS laboratory space
  • Develop laboratory operations and sustainment strategies
  • Facilitate shipping of equipment to project sites
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to support UAS program operations
  • Establish and maintain a physical inventory system for the lab
  • Ensure compliance with check-in/check-out procedures for equipment
  • Maintain electronic inventory accessible to appropriate personnel
  • Conduct lab tours upon request



Qualifications:



  • Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks effectively
  • Motivated individual who can deliver high-quality work
  • Basic familiarity with Unmanned Aircraft Systems is desired
