In this role, the Senior Manager- Revenue Recognition will be a key contributor on the technical accounting team primarily supporting Salesforce's Stand Alone Selling Price (SSP) program. This role heavily focuses on supporting the company's SSP program and includes data and process enhancement projects. This individual will be a subject matter expert in the company's ASC606 policies, products, and revenue system. The Senior Manager will provide support to our internal revenue team and business partners. The Senior Manager will be tasked with enhancing existing processes as well as reviewing/advising on compliant ways to and implement new go to market initiatives. This role is an independent contributor.

The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced and changing environment working across many different functions including Finance, Product, Deal Desk, and Business Technology (BT)!

Responsibilities:
* Prepare or review revenue recognition assessments related to key SOX controls over the company's SSP methodologies.
* Lead revenue analysis and preparation of metrics to enhance SSP insights, identify trends, and surface trends to leadership and business partners.
* Participate in cross-functional work streams to ensure risks related to SSP program are mitigated.
* Support audit requests from internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth quarterly and year-end review and audit processes.
* Lead process design and system implementation related to new product offerings or M&A to ensure scalable revenue processes.
* Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend solutions.
* Implement and enhance automation to drive efficiency for the SSP program.
* Draft memos and presentations to gain alignment with and influence the team's business partners.
* Provide technical accounting support to Revenue Management Teams

Qualifications:

* Degree in accounting or relevant field or equivalent experience required; MBA or Masters' degree is a plus. Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

* CPA designation is highly desirable.
* 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including 3+ years focused on revenue recognition or revenue accounting.
* Experience in a public company environment, with familiarity in working under Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and SEC reporting.
* Strong background in applying ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and other relevant accounting standards.
* Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and solve problems in ambiguous environments.
* Ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately explain difficult issues; ability to think quickly and thoughtfully.

This role is hybrid and goes into the office in Indianapolis, In or Atlanta, GA 3 days per week.
