MUST:
Experienced Project Manager/Civil Engineering (MDOT)
8+ years of experience required
Project experience with MDOT SHA and Maryland jurisdictions
Proficiency in the following software: Roadway Design: MicroStation, InRoads and OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD and Civil3D
Traffic Engineering: Synchro, Vissim, Sidra
Water Resources: HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, SWMM Experience with project delivery of MDOT SHA and local government transportation projects, including permitting requirements
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, and able to obtain Virginia PE in six months (required)
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
DUTIES:
The Transportation Project Manager is responsible for managing transportation infrastructure projects from planning through preparation of contract plans, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets and in collaboration with multidiscipline design teams and clients
Conduct concept design studies including traffic analyses.
Prepare and modify construction documents (plans, specifications, estimates), reports, and other design deliverables for project milestones
Design and environmental permitting
Coordinate and mentor junior engineers and engineering technician
Perform quality control reviews of design plans, specifications, and estimates
Develop and organize the delivery of project plans and specifications
Consult with other engineers and project stakeholders including clients, utility companies, permitting agencies and the public
