Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Environmental Services which may include general cleaning, floor maintenance and laundry functions.
Essential Functions
  • Supervising Environmental Services employees. Interviewing, selecting and training new employees. Monitoring current employees and providing ongoing training, coaching and performance management.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of department wide projects and programs. Responding to customer concerns/compliments.
  • Controlling operating expenses. Adjusting staffing levels based on fluctuating workloads.
  • Developing and maintaining employee performance standards to achieve desired quality results through daily rounding in areas of responsibility and performing required audits. Evaluating employee performance.
  • Utilizing the Beaumont Standards and effective communication skills to incorporate specific age, cultural or developmental needs.
  • Maintaining and/or improving employee engagement through rounding, recognition, team building and meeting.
  • Participation in department and hospital committees.
  • Developing programs/practices, which ensure correct/safe care and usage of chemical products and equipment.
  • Evaluation of new and existing products and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Associate's Degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience Healthcare, environmental services, and/or customer service Required
  • 2 years of relevant experience Leadership Preferred
  • Knowledge of hospital procedures and practices Preferred
