A Brief Overview
The Sr Financial Analyst (SFA) is responsible for drafting, analyzing and distributing standard and non-standard reports that track performance and illustrate challenges in addition to performing ad-hoc analysis to support decision making. The SFA partners closely with the retail store operations teams and cross functional partners to track performance vs. savings goals and administers mechanisms to achieve those goals. The role also has responsibility for reporting and is a key participant in the budgeting and forecasting process.

What you will do

  • Collaborate and partner with internal business stakeholders by preparing reports, financial models and medium complex analysis to illustrate business performance across key KPIs. Create standard and ad-hoc analysis and reporting which provide proactive, actionable insights for strategic decision making.
  • Oversee store operations expense tracking, monitor GL accounts to ensure spending is within reason and tracking to savings targets. Develop and maintain mechanisms to achieve savings objectives. Present findings, solutions and recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain accurate budget, forecast and risks and opportunities for retail store operations.
  • Explore and recommend opportunities for streamlining and standardizing reporting and internal processes. Maintain documentation of reporting procedures.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in data analytics, finance or corporate accounting
  • 1-3 years of experience with the Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools i.e. Tableau

Skills and Abilities

  • Solid business and financial acumen
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise
  • Ability to create reporting and visualizations to tell the story. Willingness to learn how to create dashboards if necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint. Familiar with data visualization tools i.e. Tableau, SQL
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, organized, detail-oriented, and thorough
  • Comfortability in working with assumptions and imperfect data
  • Proactive initiative- Ability to proactively identify opportunities and act without waiting for direction
  • Strong curiosity: Natural inclination to explore, dig in, ask questions and understand new concepts and ideas
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously analyze data and ensure accuracy in all tasks
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals
  • Problem Solving: Expertise in identifying issues and developing effective solutions
  • Continuous Learning: Ability to embrace and adapt to new learning experiences and technologies
