JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Position Title: Part-time 4-H Program Assistant - Cumberland County Salary: starts at $18.00/hour This individual will support the local 4-H program in Cumberland County to provide high quality positive youth development opportunities for youth audiences. Additionally, the individual will work with volunteers in maintaining and expanding the 4-H livestock program opportunities. This position is based at Penn State Extension, Cumberland County, 310 Allen Road, Carlisle, PA. Specific responsibilities Include:
This position requires excellent organizational and time management skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to plan and teach activities and educational programs.The successful candidate must be a team player who can work with diverse youth and adults.The candidate must be able to carry equipment and educational materials and supplies, with or without accommodation. This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances: * PA State Police Criminal Background Check * PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form * FBI Criminal Background Check This position requires the applicant to operate a motor vehicle as part of the job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required. Applicant must also be willing to work flexible hours. The number of hours per day will need to be somewhat flexible to allow for some evenings and weekends; however, a maximum of 24 hours per week is anticipated.
