Astrion is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Systems Integrator to help architect, align, and synchronize some of the most advanced space systems in the world.

This is a potential opening. While official approval is pending, we are proactively identifying top candidates and conducting interviews in anticipation of the position going live soon.

What You'll Do

As a Systems Integrator, you'll be at the heart of systems engineering for advanced autonomous spacecraft and mission-critical infrastructure. Your role will be key in ensuring seamless coordination across software, hardware, and operations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and integrating complex systems, especially interdependencies and interfaces

  • Applying model-based systems engineering (MBSE) best practices

  • Developing interface control documents (ICDs)

  • Supporting software architecture for autonomous systems

  • Facilitating collaboration between cross-functional technical teams

  • Contributing to systems verification, validation, and overall mission assurance

What You Bring Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience (or equivalent education/experience)

  • Background in:

    • Software development in C/C++ within Linux environments

    • Complex distributed systems

    • Software verification and validation

    • Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS NG)

    • Interface definition and control

  • Strong communication skills (written, visual, and interpersonal)

  • Proficiency with web-based collaboration tools

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Agile software development methodologies

  • Scripting languages such as Python

  • Familiarity with NASA software and development standards

  • Experience with:

    • NASA Gateway spacecraft systems

    • Core Flight System (CFS) infrastructure

    • Tools like Confluence, GitLab, JIRA, MS Teams, Slack, SharePoint

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

  • Proven success in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills

Additional Information
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency may be required

  • Must pass a U.S. government background check

  • Work is primarily office-based; some light physical activity required

  • Regular attendance and professional conduct are essential
