HX5 is currently seeking a Development Integration Tester to join our team at Marshall Space Flight Center.

The development integration tester will work with the development, systems engineering, system administrators and operations teams to support the Payload Operations Integration Center (POIC) International Space Station (ISS) and Space Launch System (SLS) mission ground systems hosted in the Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC). The Development Integration Test (DIT) team is responsible ensuring that a mature, high-quality product is delivered to operation and users for ISS, SLS, and the new Artemis Moon to Mars missions to including programs to include the Lunar Gateway (LGW), Human Landing System (HLS), Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility (EHP) and a Lunar Habitat Base that seek to sustain a lunar presence and enable human exploration of Mars. DIT focuses on the integration and informal verification of all software releases and provides a cost-effective opportunity to identify, root cause, and correct issues before the more formal verification phase. All testing is completed in a flight-like environment. The DIT team is also heavily involved in all new technologies and modernization plans. Modernization plans include migration to Kubernetes containers provided by a new HOSC OpenShift cluster with a robust DevSecOps pipeline. This is a rare opportunity to be part of history and to use and expand valuable technical skills to transform scientific efforts related with human exploration of our solar system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work well in a group environment as well as work independently,

  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous test efforts.

  • Effective communication skill.

  • Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs.

  • Ability to capture, develop, and present technical information is considered valuable.

  • Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.

  • Experience in developing and executing test procedures needed to verify software requirements for various user applications and test environment subsystems.

  • Experience with testing real-time software applications.

  • Automated testing experience is considered valuable.

  • Coding experience with VB.net and C# is considered valuable.

  • Familiarity and or experience with agile development.

Education andExperience:

  • BA/BS with three (3) years of relevant experience minimum.
  • Bachelor's degree or greater in a relevant engineering or computer science from an ABET institution is considered valuable

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must possess a valid Real ID or Star ID.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
