About the team

Worldpay, LLC seeks Software Engineer Specialist in Cincinnati, OH to develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients.

What you will be doing

The Software Engineer Specialist will identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Additionally, the role will:

  • Interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. Train and communicate with clients on systems application.
  • Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially).
  • Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  • Write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
  • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Train and communicate with internal Client Training,
  • Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
  • Responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results.
  • Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation:

  • implementing and managing Agile methodologies using tools including Rally and Jira to deliver software projects ensuring iterative progress and continuous feedback;
  • developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD);
  • utilizing automated testing frameworks to ensure high code quality and reliability;
  • designing and optimizing cloud architectures on AWS or Azure platforms; implementing cost-effective strategies including auto-scaling and load balancing;
  • utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, CloudFormation for provisioning and managing cloud resources;
  • deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including writing Docker files and Helm charts for efficient application deployment in cloud environments;
  • implementing comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions using Prometheus and Grafana tools to identify and resolve performance issues in applications and infrastructure;
  • developing and implementing disaster recovery and backup strategies using AWS Backup, Azure Site Recovery cloud-native services to ensure data integrity, availability, and minimal downtime in distributed systems.
