Security Officer - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Mohegan Lake, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining clear communication with team members. You will represent our company's values of agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity while working collaboratively to support a positive atmosphere throughout the location.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.72 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents within the retail environment.
• Assist with access control and help to deter unauthorized entry or activities on the premises.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• New York Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
