Summary:

This exempt position will report to the Chief Information Officer in the Division of Information Technology. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $101,200 - $115,000 (commensurate with related experience).

Responsibilities:



  • Budget and financial oversight: manage and track IT department budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, reconciliation, and alignment with organizational goals. Partner with finance and leadership to monitor spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.


  • Contract and vendor management: administer IT contracts, including renewals, compliance tracking, documentation, and lifecycle oversight. Serve as the primary point of contact for IT vendors, managing relationships, evaluating performance, and supporting onboarding/offboarding. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to negotiate terms and ensure favorable outcomes.


  • Operational management and support: coordinate day-to-day IT operations tasks, ensuring that core processes are executed consistently and efficiently. Provide cross-functional support across IT, finance, procurement, and project teams as needed.


  • Process improvement and governance: identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and reporting mechanisms. Develop and maintain standardized procedures and playbooks for recurring operations activities. Support internal audits, compliance efforts, and risk mitigation initiatives within the IT function.



Required Education and/or Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required.

  • At least 3+ years of experience in IT operations, vendor/contract management, or a related business operations role.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.

  • Strong understanding of value-added resale and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Teams, and enterprise systems.



Preferred Experience:



  • Experience working in a healthcare or non-profit environment.

  • Familiarity with IT procurement platforms and contract lifecycle management tools.

  • Understanding of ITIL, COBIT, or similar operational governance frameworks.
