JOB PURPOSE

The Sr. Cable Assembler/Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector is responsible for assembling components, reading instructions, labeling wires, inspecting final products, adhering to safety practices, operating testing equipment, and keeping the working area clean. They also perform duties inspecting craftmanship of manufactured items to include cables, parts received, assemblies, systems and components for acceptance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

The Sr. Cable Assembler applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher level technician. They complete QA checklists, inspection worksheets and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documents for acceptance by the government.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Required:

High School Diploma

Experience

Required: 2-4 years of experience in the field working with various MIL-STD and commercial cabling standards

2-4 years of experience working QA team.

Special Knowledge/Skills

Required: Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
