Overview

Rapiscan Systems, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to be based near our security division hub location in Billerica, MA.

Rapiscan is a leading supplier of end-to-end security inspection solutions, utilizing multiple technologies and advanced threat identification algorithms based on X-ray and high-speed computed tomography imaging, ion mobility spectrometry, radiation detection, and optical inspection technologies. Our broad portfolio of products, services, and solutions helps customers in ports, borders, aviation, military, law enforcement, critical infrastructure, event security markets to solve complex security needs, including combatting terrorism, drug and weapon smuggling, and trade fraud. We have highly experienced technical, program management, and service teams to ensure customers receive a best-in-class experience throughout every phase of their project-from planning to deployment to post-installation support.

In this high profile role, you will be a key member of the Finance team responsible for all aspects of the Rapiscan Division budgeting, forecasting, operational reporting, operating metrics with a heavy emphasis on financial analysis. You will interact directly with the Sales, Product Management, Service, Operations and Engineering department leaders while also serving as a key resource to the Executive Team and to the Corporate FP&A team.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a visible leader and role model within the Division.
  • Partner closely with Group Controller, Divisional management and the parent company to lead strategy, planning and execution for the organization.
  • Lead an international FP&A team to develop high-quality financial analysis to provide context and insight to decision makers across the Division.
  • Focus management on the appropriate metrics and actions based on those metrics across the organization, assuring effective tracking of operational performance.
  • Challenge all aspects of the global supply chain to identify and capture efficiencies and process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the annual budget process and periodic forecast process to build realistic and fully explainable budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee the global operations analysis group in analyzing manufacturing and distribution metrics.
  • Participate in acquisition programs in which appropriate targets are evaluated, acquired and integrated.
  • Direct and analyze studies of general economic, industry, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's strategies, policies and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business (accounting or finance) required, MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 7+ years experience in broad operational finance background with progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well with other strong personalities.
  • Experience in a growth-oriented, multi-national, manufacturing and sales organization highly preferred.
  • Ability to challenge the paradigms for the way the business is being run, add vigor and discipline to the controls and reporting processes.
  • Global perspective and international experience, including the ability to work effectively across a complex global financial footprint.
  • Experience in implementing and using technology to deliver a world-class financial planning and analysis function.
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development activities such as acquisitions.
  • Success as a change agent.
  • Record of driving and achieving bold goals and establishing and executing to best-in-class metrics.
  • Management experience demonstrating strong leadership, team building skills and engagement.

OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful completion of OSI training required (including training done at Company location)
  • Experience with complex HFM/FCC reporting and consolidation.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
