Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This position does not require driving or carrying a weapon.

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, security-related incidents, or hazards within the healthcare location.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and following visitor management protocols.
• Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies as directed by site procedures.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• CA Security Professional Guard Card required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
