Fleet Superintendent - AEQ - Prudhoe Bay



JOB SUMMARY

The Fleet Superintendent is responsible for safety, quality work, and production that meets the needs of our end users. The Heavy Shop Fleet Superintendent will be responsible for Leadership, team support, knowledge of the personnel, shop, jobs, projects, equipment, and the state of workflow.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

* Work with Scheduling team for development of detailed project schedules.

* Support end users with negotiations and special estimating issues.

* Perform daily reporting on the shop ops. to the GM

* Assist the General Foreman with execution of resources for the job, projects, etc.

* Ensure that the project, shop, jobs, refurbs, etc. maintain its established schedule.

* Maintain clear communications with business partners, clients, supervision, fellow staff, craft & others as necessary.

* Build and maintain strong beneficial relationships with Prudhoe Bay/ Fairbanks / Anchorage vendors. Build a network that will assist us in getting our needs and our partners' needs met.

* Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements from collaboration with the GM and the supervisor team.

* Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors in collaboration with the GM and supervisor team.

* Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

* Maintain quality service by following organization standards and help to establish best practices through connections made across other end users and heavy shops on the slope.

* Maintain continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

* Contribute to team effort by maintaining established resource sharing cost saving efficiencies.

* Supervise and provide guidance to craft personnel in collaboration with the General Forman.

* Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

* Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

* Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

* A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

* A valid (U.S issued) Driver's License is required.

* A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.

* The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 2x2 rotation is required.

* At least ten (10) years of experience in Heavy Equipment and Heavy Truck Shop operations / Heavy Equipment - Heavy Truck Fleet operations is required.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.

* Experience supervising personnel is required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Ten (10) or more years of experience working in the Oil and Gas industry, North Slope, and/or in the Arctic Environment is preferred.

* Experience working with ASRC companies and their collective values are preferred.

* Experience with AssetWorks is preferred.

* Experience with running long term large scale projects is preferred.

* Experience overseeing major equipment refurbs is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:

Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.

Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.

Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.

Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam

Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.

Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
